Just some of my favorite things I would: love to have… like to have… wish I had–OKAY, I just really want them all!

When I saw these stamps I just about died! I love how practical they are… they are perfect for a home office, great for letters, books, and luggage tags. Every address is hand-written calligraphy made into a graphic. I really want to get one of these custom rubber stamps by primele… the writing is so gorgeous!
Have a great Weekend everyone!!!
It is definitely that time again… Spring is here! It has been extremely beautiful here in downtown Minneapolis! Despite working on end of the year projects, I have already started to hit the outdoors and enjoy the weather. One of my favorite part of spring is of course… the flowers. I hope you’re enjoying your season!! Here are a few of my favorite vases:
I’m in love with the design and simplicity of each vase! Which one is your favorite? or do you have a favorite I don’t know about (send me the link, I’d love to check it out!). Hope you’re enjoying your Spring Season!!! Thanks for reading today….
You are looking at one of my favorite designers Knack Studios!! Check out her blog for her daily updates and works of art! I have written about how much her work inspires me, time and time again. Following post include: “Introducing… Knack – Clever design and Distinctly Urban” and “Knack has done it again…“
Just beautiful! This color can really brighten up any room! Love the knobs, the wall paper inside the drawers and the color!
Hope your having a good week!!! Anything exciting (or not so exciting) happening!?
My words cannot barely express the way I feel about my recent visit to “The Painted Lady“ in Chicago, IL. I went a short road trip with my parents and Kyle to downtown Chicago. I went expecting the usual city life experience. We went to the museum of Science and Industry and did a little shopping and cite seeing! It was definitely a windy day in the “Windy City”, but a great trip overall.
To make a long story short on this trip I came across this shop and my jaw nearly dropped (I’m serious my heart skipped a beat). Instantly, I thought… “This is it, this is my dream… my dream shop.” I fell in LOVE (Love I tell ya!) with this shop, the refurnished furniture, and vintage appeal.
The Painted Lady, Bucktown’s favorite chic place to shop, is an ever-changing collection of hand-painted antique furniture. From French provincial dining tables and apothecary jars to vintage chandeliers and antique armoires. Collections of bedding, accessories, linens and MUCH more are within these doors of this antique shop!
The Painted Lady’s vintage chandelier. This shop had a large selection of lighting, chandeliers and antique table lamps. From wall to wall these lights gave the room a warm comfortable atmosphere. (*Notice the windings staircase, this place was beautiful).
Each unique piece is hand-painted or left in its original state; no two pieces are the same. Below are a few examples furniture, accessories and other home decor items The Painted Lady offers.
Isn’t this shop just beautiful! If I could I’d visit shops like this every weekend, but lets be realistic here! But I’d like to know if you have any shops in your area like this. Let me know (shoot me an e-mail)… this inspires me beyond words! Or if you know of a place that would like me to post about them (for publicity)… shoot them my link. Hope you enjoyed this post as much as I did!
I do not know much about this young spirited woman, but I do know that she does some amazing work. If you’re the slightest bit interested in the art of crocheting or knitting, please visit AmalieMaren. While you are at it, you might be interested to know that she will be opening her online shop, on January 20th. So I highly recommend you head over and get inspired! That being said, you will be happy to know that Amalie is hosting a current Give-a-way to introduce her grand opening!!
Besides all of her other products her Head Wraps are my Favorite!! I can’t wait to get my hands on one of these! She sells a variety of handmade items such as scarves, crocheted flower accessories and much more!
It takes a lot of courage to present your skills and talents online for the whole world to see. Trust me, even starting Simply Elegance made my heart skip a beat or two (I was a bit nervous). That is exactly what Amalie is doing… she has taken what she loves to do most and made it into something big. It is an inspiration to see stories such as hers.
“I love love love to create! I’m taking a leap of faith. I’m trying something. This, is just a beginning.”
Amalie definitely has a heart for creativity and is a fan of Simply Elegance (which makes me happy). So Amalie…thanks for the inspiration and encouraging comments! Congrats on your store opening… what a success!
